PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS
 

Oral presentations

To guarantee a smooth presentation flow, in addition we created a web-upload form for the presentation, so you will be able to upload your presentation in advance.

 Note 1: Please upload only oral presentations.  NO POSTERS upload.
 Note 2: We would prefer to run all the presentations from our own computer, please, keep it in mind. NO personal computers to run a presentation.
 Note 3: Label the materials with your name, session name, session date and presentation name.
 
 In case, you have not upload the presentation via web system, please have your presentation ready on USB memory stick. You must submit your presentation to our IT assistant in the Speakers Preview Room (room Rho) at the latest the day before your presentation. If there is any technical problem with your file, this arrangement gives you still enough time to solve it. Please make sure to label your presentation file with your name and last name and a presentation code, which you can find in the program  near to your presentation title.
 
 The presentation is handed in on time at the Speaker Preview Room:
(a) the day before your presentation if you are scheduled to present before 11.00 a.m. on the specified day or
(b) in the morning of your day of presentation if you are scheduled to present after 11.00 a.m. on the specified day
- or via a web-upload form  for the presentation.
 
The Speaker Preview Room is located in room Rho from the Radisson Hotel.

 Opening Hours:
Sunday, July 10th 2016 from 2.00 p.m. - 8.00 p.m.
Monday, July 11st 2016 from 7.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Tuesday, July 12th 2016 from 7.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Wednesday, July 13rd 2016 from 7.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Thursday, July 14th 2016 from 7.30 p.m. - 6.00 p.m.

 Speaker Preview Room (room Rho)

There will be provided the following possibilities:

- Reviewing your MS PowerPoint presentation
- Last minute alterations to your MS PowerPoint presentation
- Expert advice by technical staff on site

 Session Rooms:

Each session room is equipped with the following items:
- Lectern with microphone
- Handheld microphones
- Data projection for MS PowerPoint presentations
- Laser pointer

 Presentation:

- Prepare your MS PowerPoint presentation according to the guidelines and save it on a disk, CD-ROM or USB memory stick. Label the materials with your name, session name, session date and presentation name.
- Check in at the Speaker Preview Room:
(a) the day before your presentation if you are scheduled to present before 11.00 a.m. on the specified day or
(b) in the morning of your day of presentation if you are scheduled to present after 11.00 a.m. on the specified day
- Be in the session room at least 10 minutes before the session starts to meet the chair of the session.
- Familiarize yourself with the onsite equipments. Technical staff will be present to assist you.

Guidelines:
All presentations will be presented at a resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels on a PC
with Windows XP and PowerPoint XP.
- Your presentation should be prepared in MS PowerPoint 97 or higher
- Preferred page set-up is landscape orientation (portrait orientation will not be displayed properly)
- Use high-contrast lettering and readable fonts. The minimum front size is 24
- Use high-contrast colors: Light text on dark background or vice versa
- A maximum of seven (7) lines per slide and five (5) words per line will
improve the communication value of your slide

 


 Poster sessions

Presenting authors are requested to display their posters during coffee breaks. Authors are required to be present beside their posters during the respective sessions. Posters must be put in person and taken off promptly at the end of the session.

 Printed posters should not exceed: 90 cm (width) x 120 cm (height) (35,5 in x 47,24 in), recommended poster size is A0. Only portrait orientation posters will be considered for the poster exhibition.

- In the email subject indicate the conference short name “ISSBD 2016.
- Describe the poster technical requirements (paper size, orientation, thickness of the paper).
- Indicate the date, when the poster should be produced.
